New Times headquarters not going green

The new New York Times headquarters going up in Midtown will not be going green as originally planned. The newspaper and its co-developer, Forest City Ratner, decided recently that the cost of getting an environmentally friendly-building designation was too great in terms of money and red tape. more [NYO]
