MiniManhattan offers alternative to real thing

A Nassau County village dubbed MiniManhattan by some is drawing city dwellers with its cheaper homes and robust community life. Great Neck Village, about 30 minutes to Manhattan by the Long Island Rail Road, has around 9,500 residents and homes that, while cheap compared to the megalopolis nearby, still can reach into the millions of dollars for houses with more than three bedrooms. more [Newsday]
