Housing a major issue with primary a week away

The housing market in all its varieties is, to say the least, an issue in the mayoral race. While Republican Mayor Bloomberg has done a lot to encourage development and has created thousands of more units of affordable housing, his Democratic opponents say more can be done and more needs to be done, especially in a Manhattan where the average sales price of an apartment is regularly above $1 million.
