MTA expected to approve Ratner’s arena plans

The Metropolitan Transit Authority is expected to approve early next week Bruce Ratner’s plans for building a New Jersey Nets arena in Downtown Brooklyn. In July, the MTA voted overwhelmingly to negotiate exclusively with Ratner, the Nets’ owner, on what to do with the 21 Brooklyn acres slated for development. more [NYDN]
