Ten-building East Village portfolio sold

A 10-building residential and retail portfolio along Second Avenue in the East Village was sold recently for $93 million. The deal closed at the end of August, but was announced Wednesday by investment firm Eastern Consolidated, which helped broker the deal between seller Sterling Equities and a buyers group led by Martin D. Newman, Nathan Halegua and Yair Levy. The 253,000-square-foot Clearwater Portfolio includes three elevator buildings and seven walk-ups with 224 residential units and 21 stores.
