U.S. has one million homes worth $1M or more

For the first time in American history, the nation has more than one million owner-occupied homes worth $1 million or more, according to 2004 data recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau. With several analyses putting the average Manhattan apartment price at more than $1 million, you can bet a lot of the estimated 1,034,386 million-dollar homes in America are in New York City.
