The New York Times polled 1,000 New Yorkers recently about what makes their city tick and what ticks them off about their city. For the question “Which of these topics comes up most often at New York dinner parties?,” 17 percent of the respondents answered “real estate” in a list that included “politics” (the number one topic at 32 percent) and “work” (the number two) as well as “school” and “weather,” which “real estate” easily bested. more [NYT]
