Bush to nominate adviser as new Fed chief

Presidnet Bush is expected this afternoon to nominate Ben Bernanke, his top economic adviser, as Alan Greenspan’s successor as head of the Federal Reserve. Greenspan’s final term expires in January. Bernanke is a former reserve governor. more [NYT]
