Hotel planned for Midtown South

A new hotel for Midtown South may ease the growing demand for rooms in the city. The Fitzpatrick US Hotel Group on Thursday announced plans for a $500 million, 250-room hotel on a parking lot on 29th Street and Sixth Avenue. It’s expected to open in 2009, and will include a 7,000-square-foot terrace with a swimming pool. more [Crain’s]
