Sherry-Netherland Hotel may go co-op

Rumor has it that the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, home over the years to famous people like Dean Martin and Francis Ford Coppola, may become a co-op, thus wiping away yet another famed New York hotel. Permanent residents of the Sherry-Netherland at 59th Street and Fifth Avenue claim the upkeep of the apartment is abysmal and the amenities that once made it a coveted crash pad have disappeared.
