Goldman Sachs breaks ground on headquarters

Goldman Sachs broke ground Tuesday on its new headquarters in Lower Manhattan. The $2 billion, 43-story tower on West Street near Ground Zero will reportedly bring 9,000 jobs with it. The city and the state have promised Goldman Sachs $1.65 billion in tax-exempt bonds and about $150 million in other tax breaks for building in Lower Manhattan. more [Crain’s]
