City plans partial platform over rail yards

The city and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority are reportedly finalizing a plan to build a platform over part of the far West Side rail yards. The platform would stretch from 30th to 33rd streets from 10th to 11th avenues. Residential and office buildings as well as a 6-acre park would be built on top of it. more [NYDN]
