Fed to raise target rate 13th straight time

The Federal Reserve will Tuesday reportedly raise the target interest rate by a quarter point to 4.25 percent. This would be the 13th straight time that the Fed has raised the rate since June of 2004. Another rate hike, in fact, is expected in January, just before new chairman Ben Bernanke is expected to take over. more [FT]
