Construction spending up nationwide

Spending on construction nationwide was up 0.2 percent in November from October to $1,146.4 billion, according to federal data released Tuesday morning. It was also up 7.8 percent from November 2004. Total non-residential construction spending, according to the data, was $498 billion in November, up 0.5 percent from October and 5.7 percent from November of last year.
