Mayor Bloomberg on Monday ratcheted up the heat on developer Larry Silverstein over the future of Ground Zero. The mayor said the city’s financial analysis showed Silverstein would profit handsomely from his investment in the area, but leave the city “high and dry” with a “half-finished set of buildings or vacant sites.” Bloomberg wants Silverstein to cede responsibility for building two towers at Ground Zero in exchange for a reduction on his rent. more [NYDN] and more [Sun]
