Construction is moving forward on the 32-story glass tower known as Ariel West at 100th Street and Broadway, despite continued opposition from some neighborhood residents. The Ariel West is part of a two-tower residential project — the other tower, a taller one, is across Broadway — being done by Extell Development Corporation. A supermarket that stood where the Ariel West is going collapsed during demolition in July, injuring 10 people. more [NYT]
