A new report says Manhattan housing prices are back up to near summer 2005 levels. The average sales price of a Manhattan apartment in January was $1,277,568, according to a report released Monday from Halstead Property. That’s an increase over the year-end price of about $1.1 million — and the highest price since June, when it was more than $1.3 million. It’s also a 17 percent increase over January 2005. The median sales price for a Manhattan apartment in January was $750,000, Halstead reported, up from $699,000 at the end of 2005, and also the highest since June as well as an 11 percent increase over January 2005.
