Freedom Tower tosses coal on heated debate

The Freedom Tower remains a major sticking point in the increasingly heated debate over the future of Ground Zero. No one now thinks that the Freedom Tower will get built by 2008, as Gov. Pataki predicted nearly three years ago. In fact, it may be 2011 before the 1,776-foot-high tower is finished — and then its 2.6 million square feet has to be leased. more [NYT]
