Mixed-use project planned for LIC waterfront

The owners of Silvercup Studios have unveiled plans for a 2-million-square-foot, mixed-use development on six acres on the Queens waterfront in Long Island City. The development would be called Silvercup West, and would include 350,000 square feet of film and TV production space as well as 1,000 apartments, commercial and retail space, and a home for an unnamed cultural institution. more [Sun] and more [NYT]
