No one may ever tell buyers of co-op flaws

If there’s a flaw in a co-op unit, who’s responsible for telling a prospective buyer? Apparently, legally, no one. The co-op board, because it’s not a party to the sales contract, has no obligation to the tell the buyer, and even the seller might not be responsible for tipping off the would-be purchaser. more [NYT]
