Upper Manhattan still a deal despite ’05 spikes

The sales price per square foot for Harlem apartments increased 29 percent in 2005, according to a new report, but the neighborhood remained more affordable than Manhattan overall. The per-foot price in Harlem went from $274 a foot at the end of 2004 to $354 a foot at the end of last year, according to a report released Wednesday morning by the Corcoran Group. more By Tom Acitelli
