New Mets stadium moving quietly along

The new Mets stadium in Queens is moving (relatively) quietly toward fruition while its cross-town rivals, the Yankees, struggle to make a new stadium in the South Bronx a reality. Construction of what’s being called Shea II is expected to start in the next few months, and is scheduled to be ready by Opening Day of 2009. more [NYT]
