Red Hook mixed-use project may move forward

A developer may get an OK from the city on Thursday to move forward on plans to convert the abandoned Revere sugar factory on Red Hook’s waterfront into housing, loft-like offices, a marina, and stores. The city had originally placed the Revere site inside an industrial zone that would’ve prevented developer Thor Equities from converting it. But, Thursday, a city commission is expected to vote on whether to establish the boundaries of these industrial zones. more [NYT]
