The Bloomberg administration wants to move forward on erecting a 35-story temporary United Nations headquarters on the city-owned Robert Moses playground on First Avenue at 41st Street. The state Senate nixed in 2004 the idea of a UN building there, but the Bloomberg administration plans to take up the issue again with the Legislature once the state budget is resolved. more [Post]
