U.S. holding up UN renovation, official says

The director of the United Nations’ $1.6 billion renovation plan says the U.S. is holding up proper funding. The U.S., the director says, is the only country blocking the $100 million that was to have been approved April 1 for the plan. The renovations would include the UN moving to a newly built temporary headquarters elsewhere on its campus as well as to some office space in Midtown. more [NYT]
