Happy 75th birthday to the Empire State Building

The Empire State Building on May 1 will mark 75 years since its opening. It remains a mythic testament to the city surrounding it, as much a symbol of architectural and engineering ingenuity for its time as it is now of the commercial real estate market and of the Big Apple’s economy.
