Mayor buying Upper East Side building

Mayor Bloomberg is finishing his purchase of a six-story, Beaux-Arts building at 25 East 78th Street, on the corner of Madison Avenue, which will house the philanthropic organization he plans to create. The asking price of the building is $45 million, and Bloomberg reportedly sent in a check for the full amount. more [NYT]
