Extell buys Moondance site for $34M

The site at Sixth Avenue and Grand Street that was home to the Moondance Diner has been sold for $33.5 million. A partnership including Extell Development recently closed on the parcel comprising 23 Grand Street, 27 Grand Street and 74 Sixth Avenue. The diner is moving to Wyoming, but Department of Buildings officials stopped the plans yesterday until all moving procedures are checked to ensure safety.
