Plans due for $2B Nassau Coliseum project

Plans are expected to be filed soon for the $2 billion redevelopment of the Nassau Coliseum and its surrounding 77 acres. Called the Lighthouse project, it would build a new hockey arena for the New York Islanders as well as housing, offices, a five-star hotel and retail development along a grand canal. It’s the cornerstone of the “New Suburbia” plans for central Nassau.
