Brooklyn pitched as tourist destination

A travel article published this weekend in the Wall Street Journal promotes Brooklyn as an alternative tourist destination to Manhattan, as does another article in the Hartford Courant, titled “Fugheddaboud What You Think You Know About Brooklyn.” The Journal’s edgy itinerary includes a canoe trip down the Gowanus Canal and a show at the Lyceum. The Courant suggests more conventional outings, like a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, pizza at Grimaldi’s, and a stroll through the zoo or Botanic Gardens.
