Planning Commission to vote on Columbia plan

The city Planning Commission is expected to approve Columbia University’s plan to expand north on 17 acres. But the role of eminent domain could be avoided. Chairwoman Amanda Burden said earlier this month that the Empire State Development Corporation should decide how eminent domain is used. Four property owners have not sold to Columbia.
