Lifestyle consultants offer ultimate pampering

Developers often tout everything on offer in the neighborhoods they build in. Now they’re infiltrating the neighborhood scene themselves, sending lifestyle consultants out to top restaurants to push through dinner and party reservations.

The Manhattan-based developer FLAnk offers lifestyle consultant services that include helping buyers customize their space before they even move in.

“We have taken the idea of pampering a step further,” said Jennifer Bell, who oversees lifestyle consultant services for FLAnk. “Residents can ask for anything … as long as it’s legal.”

The company offers lifestyle management services to residents at Novare at 135 West 4th Street and a planned eight-unit building at 441 East 57th Street.

Called The Collection at 441 East 57th Street, the new development will have two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, including a triplex. The units will range from 1,650 to 3,390 square feet and from $2.8 million to $7.1 million. The building is slated to be completed next summer.

FLAnk trains and runs its own staff of on-site lifestyle consultants, who get to know the staffs of restaurants and venues in the neighborhoods where FLAnk has buildings.

Margaret Kress, a resident at the Novare building, said that she just moved to New York and also lives in Connecticut, so she relies on lifestyle management services to help her navigate the West Village.

Kress said the staff organized a 17th birthday party for her daughter at the posh Manhattan restaurant Buddakan.

“They know you and they know what you like,” she said.
