Unions want role in $3B Willets Point plan

The city is in talks with unions about their role in the proposed $3 billion redevelopment of Willets Point, the industrial area near Shea Stadium. Robert Lieber, president of the Economic Development Corp., confirmed the negotiations were taking place but gave no details while speaking before the City Council yesterday.
