Apple set to open 14th Street store

Apple’s third and biggest Manhattan store opens tomorrow at the corner
of West 14th Street and Ninth Avenue. The once gritty neighborhood is
now the home of La Perla, Diane von Furstenberg and Alexander McQueen
stores. Retail rents have increased to more than $300 a square foot in
some places.
