Tribeca bar bids to toss neighbor

The bar Smith and Mills at 71 North Moore Street wants to show the door
to its upstairs neighbor. A lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court
calls for kicking Victoria Hillstron out of a loft owned by
restaurateur and former Man Ray partner Carlos Almada. The suit claims
Hillstron “stood in front of plaintiff’s establishment to prevent
Construction From Taking Place” and “successfully delayed
construction.” It also claims she has entered the bar “including the
basement, smashing glassware, liquor wine and other bottles,” and “has
started screaming” inside, “seeking to drive out customers, and she has
succeeded in doing so.”
