Local politicians gathered recently for a groundbreaking ceremony at
the Indigo Hotel at 237 Duffield Street in Downtown Brooklyn. They
painted a wall indigo and were treated to a Haiku recited by Jim Anhut,
senior vice president of InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the
hotel’s developers. The Indigo Hotel is a $60 million joint venture
between InterContinental and V3 Hotels. Canadian architect Karl Fischer
designed the building’s glass façade.
