Brooklyn residents fight Walentas project

Community groups in Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo are battling a Dock
Street project proposed by developer David Walentas’ Two Trees
Management, although the development has been scaled back and new
incentives have been offered. The original plan for the 400-unit
residential development was defeated in 2004. Two Trees has promised to
set aside 80 units as affordable and make the building the first in
Dumbo to receive a green Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
certification.
