Community offers alternative plans for St. Vincent’s

Community groups have offered an alternative proposal for the redevelopment of St. Vincent’s Hospital on Seventh Avenue, between 11th and 12 streets. The new plans would reduce the hospital’s height from 321 feet to 190 feet, would eliminate a planned 230-foot-tall residential building, and would adapt for residential use four allegedly historic buildings slated for destruction in the original plans.
