UES art warehouse sells for $28M

The Cirker’s Hayes Storage Warehouse at 305 East 61st Street has sold
for $28 million to the Chelsea Development Group for $28 million. The
warehouse, once owned by the late Stanley S. Cirker of Nassau County,
made news in 2004 when its manager was arrested for stealing sculptures
valued at $200,000. The Chelsea Development Group developed the Chelsea
Arts Tower, a commercial gallery condominium, at 545 West 25th Street. TRD
