Former football great seeks upscale Queens retailers

The landlord of a two-story building at Austin Street and 70th Road in Forest Hills, Queens, has hired the Staubach Co. to bring in upscale retail tenants to the combined 21,000-square-foot space. Executive Chairman Roger Staubach was the Hall of Fame quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys who often embarrassed the New York Giants and Jets in the 1970s. Staubach does not foresee lifelong New York football fans getting in the way of his plans. Construction on the building is expected to begin in early 2009 and should be completed within 12 months.
