A feud between the state redevelopment corporation and its contractor, Bovis Lend Lease, has been resolved, and the demolition of the former Deutsche Bank building at 130 Liberty Street is set to resume soon after a five-month break. The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation announced that it hired a new subcontractor, LVI Services Inc., to remove asbestos and other hazardous materials and then demolish the structure. LVI replaced John Galt Corporation, which was taken off the job after an August fire at the building killed two firefighters. Investigators said that smoking by John Galt workers might have ignited the blaze.
