A new, trendy neighborhood is emerging north of
West Side of Manhattan, once lined with massive auto industry parking lots and known
as Automotive Row. Although the area lacks amenities and is far from any subway
line, new developments like Riverside South, which features a 279-unit
mixed-use building as well as several condo towers, green space, a large
amenity space, are transforming the area into a luxurious neighborhood. Prices
remain relatively low by
standards. Residences in Hudson Hill, a development slated to be completed at
the end of 2008, run from $900,000 to $2.98 million and range in size from 760
to 3,253 square feet.
