Tenants at the landmarked Hotel Breslin are suing the city, as the property’s owner attempts to convert the rent-stabilized building into a luxury hotel, Chelsea Now reported. Tenants of the hotel at 1186 Broadway have filed suit against the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development in State Supreme Court. The tenants claim that Administrative Judge Faye Lewis ignored evidence of tenant abuse. The hotel, long been a haven to artists, could be turned into an Ace Hotel designed by Roman and Williams, who re-designed the Royalton. TRD
