South Williamsburg residents protest eviction

Some of the 150 tenants evicted by the Fire Department from a South Williamsburg building that housed an illegal matzo factory protested there yesterday, demanding that they be allowed to return to their homes soon. The tenants of 475 Kent Avenue, many of them artists, say that inspectors had ignored the matzo operation for years. The building is zoned for commercial use only.
