The Port Authority says it is hoping to create “one of the best-located and most well known dining establishments in the world” at the top of the Freedom Tower. The space will be several floors lower than Windows on the World, which took up the 106th and 107th floors of the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Jeffrey Roseman, an executive vice president at Newmark Knight Frank, said “a special sort of operator” would run the restaurant, which would be “an event restaurant space more than anything else. These are the kind of places you take your grandma on her birthday. I mean, how many times did you go to Window on the World? For special anniversaries and parties.”
