Meadowlands Xanadu complex only one-third leased

Only one third of the retail spaces at the massive Meadowlands Xanadu retail-entertainment complex in New Jersey have been leased, just 10 months before its long-awaited opening. The developer, Colony Capital, said “serious negotiations” were under way for almost all of the open space in the $2 billion complex, which has 2.3 million square feet of rentable space. Xanadu will host the country’s first indoor snow dome, two 30-foot wind tunnels for skydivers, and a three-story Cabela’s outdoor store with a waterfall and aquarium.
