Brooklyn’s Pintchik family will soon cash in on what some brokers say is $100 million of developable property and air rights. The family, known for its Pintchik’s Hardware store at Flatbush Avenue and Bergen Street, first opened several paint and hardware stores around the city. Then they bought dozens of buildings, including several on Flatbush Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Grand Army Plaza. “It is a void in the center that will get filled in with new retail and tie everything in downtown Brooklyn, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, and Park Slope together,” said David Rosenberg, executive vice president at the brokerage Robert K. Futterman & Associates.
