Mayor Michael Bloomberg says it’s a “disgrace” that the city’s biggest real estate firms have given equally large campaign donations to his would-be successors. “I can’t think of any reason you’d do it unless you’re just trying to hedge your bets and be on the good side of every one of them,” he said. “And the only reason you want to do that is you think you’re going to get something for it.” Rudin Management has given $29,700 to each of three likely mayoral contenders: Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn; Representative Anthony D. Weiner and City Comptroller William C. Thompson Jr.
