A former Kushner chief financial officer has admitted to a single count of conspiracy to defraud the government, just as her trial on federal tax fraud charges was about to begin. Marci Plotkin pleaded guilty yesterday to conspiring to illegally write off millions in gifts, entertainment expenses and political contributions as business expenses. She was indicted nearly three years ago on charges of conspiracy, fraud and obstruction of justice related to preparing tax returns for developer Charles Kushner’s real estate partnerships.
