A hedge-funder has reportedly agreed to buy Bob Guccione’s 22,000-square-foot Upper East Side mansion at 14-16 East 67th Street for $59 million. If true, the sale of the 27-room property would break the city’s townhouse record of $53 million, set by a 25,000-square-foot home on East 75th Street bought by investment banker J. Christopher Flowers in 2006. The Penhouse magazine founder’s townhouse has been on and off the market for six years. Brown Harris Stevens has been marketing it as the “Milbank Mansion,” named for the original owner who combined two homes in 1919.
